Bombing a school is a war crime. Bombing a hospital is a war crime. Bombing news outlets is a war crime. Firing rockets at civilians is *also* a war crime.
If we believe in human rights, we should hold anyone who commits war crimes fully accountable.
I think Biden’s doing an amazing job, but I don’t have a flag with his name on it on the back of my car—because he’s my president not my savior, and because I’m a rational adult human being who doesn’t need a stranger to give me my identity.
People are dismissed, mocked, maligned, ignored, and doubted. When they stumble, they are kicked rather than helped up.
Then when they finally walk away from communities they yearned for and invested in, it is said, “See, told you so. They never were one of us.”
Now Republicans are making the argument that letting people vote would cause “chaos?” No. Chaos is a five hour wait to vote. It is the purging of voter rolls and modern day poll taxes. That angry mob on January 6th? That was chaos. The right to vote is not.
How come @BetoORourke and @AOC work to raise money for struggling Texans, many of whom didn't vote for Beto and think AOC is a she-witch, doesn't count as a UNITY story?
How come the media isn't spinning it that way? How come "unity" can only mean "giving the GOP what it wants"?
