@nflukhank@AroundTheNFL@NFLUKIRE It’s a massive loss for all non-US based NFL fans. It was the podcast that got me into my NFL fandom and was such a great and easy way to stay engaged in the sport and the stories around it. I can’t help but feel I won’t be the only one who will now be less engaged in the sport.
We started the Around the NFL Podcast 11 years and over 1,600 episodes ago. We didn’t take a single break in all the years since, which is part of what made the last six weeks so heartbreaking. I never expected our last show on May 23 to be our *last show,* but here we are.
Anthony Gordon speaks really well here, in my view. I thought the same when I watched his Overlap interview with Gary Neville a few months back, he doesn’t fall into the standard footballer cliche answers at all.
So a top player in Europe is wanted by Villa and Man United.
Villa are debt-free and in the Champions League.
United are a billion in debt and can’t offer Champions League football.
PSR though gives United a free run and ties Villa’s hands. Giving United a long-term advantage.
🚨 Arteta: “If there was a team looking to win the game today it was Arsenal”.
“The outcome is nowhere near the level this league needs to have and the way this league is getting competed in”.
“It's not good enough here in PL. I feel embarrassed to be part of this”.
