It’s awesome we get access to stuff like this via social media but it truly does suck players can’t announce this themselves and have “insiders” ruin an announcement like this
Source: Japanese right-hander pitcher Tomoya Kinjo is in agreement with the Toronto Blue Jays for the current international signing period, pending a physical.
Kinjo, 23, reaches 97 mph with his fastball and also features a changeup, curveball, and sinker.
Jon Heyman just listed on his live his top 5 suitors for Framber Valdez in order of likelihood:
1. Orioles
2. Blue Jays
3. Tigers
4. Giants
5. Braves
Said he’s confident it will be one of these five teams. Doesn’t think a Mets are in on Framber or Gallen.
The #BlueJays avoided arb with Daulton Varsho as well, per source, at $10.75 million. @Joelsherman1 was on it first.
Currently settled with Heineman (per @bnicholsonsmith) Varsho and Clement. Eric Lauer is Toronto's only other arb eligible player this offseason
“What’s really interesting about the Blue Jays is a lot of people still believe they are in the mix for one more big bat…Kyle Tucker maybe even the best fit in certain respects.”
- Rosenthal on Foul Territory.
$100 million coming off the books next year. You spend all that allowance money you had next year on these free agents and we won’t even complain the slightest if you don’t spend a dime next offseason @rogers@rossatkins. Jobs not finished
