I’m angry.
I’m heartbroken.
I’m devastated.
Daily.
Now more families will feel the same.
What’s it going to take for you to understand?
Burying your kid? Your spouse? Your parents? Your siblings?
By the time you know how I feel, it’s too late.
1) Maine doesn’t have a red flag law to remove someone’s guns when they’re a danger to themselves or others.
2) Maine doesn’t require background checks on unlicensed gun sales, so even if they had a red flag law, he could have just bought a gun at a gun show.
This is the logical outcome of the gun laws written by gun lobbyists and then passed by Republicans. THIS IS NOT FREEDOM. We are being held hostage by lawmakers who derive power and money from making it easier for Americans to kill each other.
IT IS HARDER TO BUY SUDAFED THAN AN AR-15 IN MAINE

No other peer nation tolerates a level of gun violence anywhere near what we experience. We don't have to live like this and we certainly should not be dying like this.
Text ACT to 644-33 to join millions of Americans working to #EndGunViolence.
MAINE DOES NOT:
Require background checks on all gun sales
Have a red flag law
Prevent domestic abusers from accessing guns
Ban assault weapons
Limit magazine capacity
Require concealed carry permits
Restrict open carry
Have a waiting period
Biden announced the first-ever federal office of gun violence prevention. Lexi looked up to @KamalaHarris and she would have loved to have met such a powerful woman💛 #lexirubio
No matter what state you live in.
No matter how well you think you know your family and friends.
No matter how uncomfortable it makes you.
ALWAYS ask when sending your kids to others’ homes if they own guns and how they’re secured. https://t.co/sIHXEYhzNd
70+ years after the Civil War, the WPA Federal Writers' Project began interviewing elderly Americans who remembered being enslaved. This collection is at the Library & this narrative from Sarah Gudger, age 121, is just one amazing piece of it. https://t.co/RPpE96RzKD #Juneteenth
Today on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, we #WearOrange to call attention to our nation’s gun violence crisis that steals more than 43,000 lives and wounds 76,000 more every year, because an America free from gun violence is worth fighting for.
Why do you #WearOrange today?
On January 21, 2013, Hadiya Pendleton, a high school student from the South Side of Chicago, marched in President Obama’s second inaugural parade. One week later, Hadiya was shot and killed on a playground in Chicago. She would have turned 26 today. #WearOrange 🧵
The assault weapons ban worked before, it can work again!
Text FED UP to 644-33 to tell your US House rep to reinstate the bipartisan assault weapons ban and save lives. #FedUp

There is no safe place in America anymore.
There is no church that’s safe.
There is no school that’s safe.
There is no shopping mall that’s safe.
There is no library that’s safe.
Standing with #Uvalde families & @RolandForTexas. #txlege must act.
