This is Archibald, John's first born son. I will be using this account to celebrate the great contributions to math my father made.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

I am at the age of 67. It's April 3, 1617. I feel very weak, as if I may no longer live. I hope my math contributions live on.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

If I don't live to see 1700 or 1788, please someone be aware of the apocalypse I have predicted.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

My town of Edinburgh is such a nice community. The pride of Scotland is high here. Love where you live!

I love my dear old Agnes. But boy, do I look back on 1579 and sulk about the death of my first love Elizabeth.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

That ole decimal point.. I think I'm going to bring it into common use. It's going to make math so much better!

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

I wonder if this new land will ever be something one day. Maybe a new country?? I'll stick to my lovely Scotland.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

Wow! Just heard the news that a colony in a new land has been established! They call it.. "Jamestown". What a big step in 1607!

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

What a beautiful day to do some math

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

Enjoying life with Agnes and my 10 new children. Loving having a big family of 14. #succesfullife #happy #yay

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

Created a calculating device called "Napier's Bones." Wonder how many high school Pre Cal classes will use it 500 years from now.

[John Napier @TheJohnNapier]

Happy to be married to this new fineeee dime named Agnes Chisholm and call her my second wife 😍😍 #inlove

Another, the 7th, French Civil War has broken out between Catholics and Huguenots. It's only 1580. 🙄
