@MrAWJLawrence2 @prodnose Brown lowered VAT to 15% - increased production/sales by doing so and offered a car scrappage scheme which increased car production in the UK - then when the tories got in power they hiked VAT straight back up to 20% higher than the 17.5% it had been at and lowered spending!
