You are actually living in the most prosperous time in history. Near record GDP, record high stock markets, real median houshold income is up, record high life expectancy. Yet here you are pretending. Or, more likely, it can be true that prosperous times do not always correlate with the difficulties faced by regular people. Much like the lived experience of countless boomers and Gen X.
