I sold my apartment and put the money into Bitcoin. Watched it turn into over $1,000,000. Then I lost it all. Then I borrowed money I didn't have. Then I lost that too. This is the story nobody tells.
I'm anonymous. Not because I'm ashamed. Because I have a career outside this. But everything you just read is true. And the same story is playing out right now, for thousands of people.
@Crypto__Haris This is real and it happens more than anyone talks about. I lost everything in crypto. Sold my apartment to invest, watched it become $1M, then lost it all through leverage trading. Borrowed everything I could find. Ended up deeply negative.
I hope your friend gets through this.
@cryptorover "This won't end well" is exactly right. I've seen this movie before. The open interest rises, everyone feels smart, then the cascade starts and the people who used leverage realize they weren't trading — they were just early enough not to be caught yet. Until they were.
@CryptoTony__ The plan working out is the easy part.
The hard part is what happens when it doesn't —
and whether you can tell the difference between
"thesis still valid" and "I just don't want to be wrong."
That line cost me everything.
@Crypto__Haris This is exactly the content that got me. Watching someone show a $3k win on leverage feels like proof it works. What you don't see is the 10 trades before this one. I learned this the hard way. Lost everything chasing the feeling this screenshot creates.
@BettyBVel Buying near the top and holding through the loss hoping to get back to even. I did the exact same thing with my own money. The psychology is identical whether it's $400M or $40k
