Microsoft added a service called ‘Microsoft Recall’ and rolled it out to people’s PCs
Every couple seconds your computer takes screenshots and saves them. This means banking, messages, anything intimate, everything on your phone if you connect it, everything that appears on your screen will be saved in a screenshot
You have to enable it but the way Microsoft words it is very sneaky. They simply say do you want to save snapshots, the average person will likely click yes and not know what they just signed up for
Microsoft says it’s all saved locally, encrypted and they don’t have access to it…..
Let’s just assume that’s true, if you get malware on your computer that means someone else can access all that info saved. They will have access to your entire life with these screenshots
How to turn it off is included in the video, I highly recommend shutting it off and or deleting it all together
Allegedly after pushback they added tweaks to skip screenshots of sensitive info like credit cards, passwords, etc…. But again this is if you trust Microsoft, trust their software to work 100% of the time…. Which most people don’t
