@DianaTheGohan@Sksj002 Seeing Fisk and his administration have to respond to that would’ve been great. You’re right, that totally challenges their narrative, I would’ve loved to see them try and overcome that obstacle.
Side note, but it’s stories like these that really showcases how Disney’s Spider-Man co parenting deal with Sony really damages the character and his role within the street side of the Marvel universe.
You want me to believe that for years now Peter has been solely dedicated to being Spider-Man 24/7, yet is completely absent from:
-An alleged crime lord being elected mayor of New York, who also calls him out on live television.
-New York plummeting into the shadow realm.
-The wave of the corrupt anti vigilante task force kidnapping countless innocent New York citizens off the streets.
-The district wide battle for Hells Kitchen
-NYC turning into a literal war zone.
…yet the next time we see him he’ll be holding a key to the city for all his great deeds? Like how is this not messy continuity? 😭
Overall I liked The Punisher: One Last Kill a lot. Frank Castle’s trauma is explored deeply and seems he’s finally moving forward with his life and looking to become more of a hero, a symbol. The action and fights were incredible, it felt like the Extraction movies.

The future of Daredevil in the MCU looks massive.
@NYTakeExchange@ThayIsTired TV shows are meant to have multiple storylines. Not everything is always going to connect, not every character is going to interact and know what’s going on with each other.
@syriangeekvibes@grooving95 Probably what Thunderbolts is in the comics. Fully villainous. Maybe they’ll go in the direction of making it more like Suicide Squad?
Overall, I enjoyed the finale for Born Again season 2. However, it’s clear now we will never see Spider-Man vs Kingpin. I just don’t see how those two are ever going to cross paths now.
3 reasons why Daredevil: Born Again S2 isn’t getting the viewership:-
• Weak marketing - barely felt like it even dropped
• No binge release - weekly rollout killed the hype
• No big crossover/event - nothing major tying it into the wider MCU
It won’t happen because Daniel was only killed off in post. Buck won’t have any reaction at all. Maybe some ADR dialogue while his back is turned saying, “the problem of the leaks is solved.”
The problem was the new characters introduced were not interesting enough so the army came off as really lame. Season 2 is doing a good job at damage control with characterization but the “city vs Fisk” war is still underdeveloped.
At the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Matt says, “We need an army,” but with only one episode left in Season 2, there’s still no sign of him forming one.
Did Kirsten McDuffie find out Matt is Daredevil off-screen? The episode plays out like she’s in on the entire plan, so we just never got to see that reunion? Unfortunate but still a good episode.
