Programs like these help build skills which lead to good-paying jobs, and I'm proud to have delivered more than $2.3 million to modernize training equipment on campus.

The MI remains committed to expanding apprenticeship in mfg and working with Congress and the DoL to make Registered Apprenticeship part of the solution.
Manufacturers welcomes the critical updates to the Registered Apprenticeship system that this legislation would achieve. Registered Apprenticeships must deliver clear value to employers through sensible standards, a light regulatory burden and reasonable incentives.
NEW: Chairman @SenBillCassidy introduced legislation expanding apprenticeship opportunities by making it easier to see what is already working and establishing consistent guidelines for the federal and state governments to register prospective apprenticeship programs. More:

Attracting and retaining talent has continued to be a top business concern for manufacturers. The MI's latest survey reveals that manufacturers are mitigating this challenge with increased workforce investment.
📈 A majority (54.4%) of respondents said that they are increasing workforce training efforts for new and existing workers compared to this time last year.
💡On average, new U.S. employees receive 47.6 hours of in-house and external training, an increase from 42.9 hours in 2019.
