The Star Wars Expanded Universe really intrigued me, so I got into it. I’m loving it so far.
Currently in the Clone Wars. Older Gen Z. Main: @NamesChristian2
The novels, comics and games I’ve experienced so far:
Thrawn trilogy (audiobooks)
Kenobi (audiobook)
The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi
Tatooine Ghost
Dark Empire I
Jedi Academy trilogy
The Truce at Bakura (heavily abridged audiobook)
Dark Forces game
(1/5)
With some of the audiobooks, there were certain parts I wasn’t paying as much attention to.
And I did read/listen to a handful of books before I began this journey in 2023. (5/5)
When I was a teenager, in anticipation of The Force Awakens’ release, I was curious about how the Legends continuity continued the series. So I listened to Heir to the Empire… and read some of the Jedi Prince books.
Little did I know the latter would be canonically ignored.
Finished! I like seeing a story I know from a different POV. When it was getting to the moons of Bogden, I was starting to lose interest, but I regained it quickly. Overall, pretty good!

I wasn’t entirely sure about the Clone Wars Adventures comics, but the chronologically first story, One of a Kind, was a good first impression! I was won over by Ethan Beavers (pencils/inks) and Ronda Pattison’s (colors) art, and the story by Jason Hall was pretty engaging!
Finished!
Yeah so that was great! I like how many scenes they added, some from deleted scenes and some original. They fleshed out the movie in some great ways.

And now I have reached the Attack of the Clones novelization! Everything changes here - the Clone Wars are about to begin!
I’m listening to the audiobook for this one.

I hear what has been called the “Denningverse” is divisive among EU fans. Some people love it. Some people say it’s terrible. I got spoiled on the fact that Jacen turned to the Dark Side, and I… really don’t know how I feel about that. But I’ll see what I think when I get to it.
