You complained loud, they shouted louder: It helps the farmer, it trims the import bill. You said, 'what about my car?'. Take one for the country, they said, 'If you love your car, clearly you don't love your country. But you do love your country, don't you? There. You've been gaslit. Properly."

"Not you, the consumer. You have no say. You only pay."

"Well, the import bill does dip, a little. The farmer gains, in a tiny, twisted way. The real winners are the ethanol industry, the oil companies and the sarkar."
