On Friday Mrs Gunn Vice Principal and Mrs Hall SENDCO attended the #TheNextDecade conference in Leeds.

Here's a summary of how they got on and key learning.

There is something truly restorative about spending a day in a room where a relational approach and inclusion aren’t just buzzwords they are the heartbeat of everything being discussed. It was a joy for the Healing Academy team to connect with so many like-minded professionals and share a long-overdue catch-up with former colleagues and friends.

The Powerhouse Lineup

The insights shared by the speakers left us inspired and ready to take action:

Professor Sugata Mitra: Delivered a brilliant keynote that pushed the boundaries of how we think. He even provided an explanation of physics that we actually understood!

@marcrowland73 Shared deeply inspiring thoughts on equity and support that gave us all a lot to reflect on.

Dr. Suzanne Zeedyk: Gave an entertaining and incredibly thought-provoking take on human rituals and emotional regulation. We absolutely loved the Traitors theme honestly, Suzanne deserves a spot on the BBC show!

@davewhitaker246 : Wrapped things up with some fabulous, straight-talking wisdom. We haven’t laughed that hard in a long time his breakdown of the two different types of leadership was spot on.

Moving Forward

We are leaving with full hearts and minds buzzing with new ideas.
