🚨Exciting News!🚨 Today marks the first day of contract bargaining for CLASP Workers United OPEIU Local 2!
Wishing our bargaining team good luck as we begin the work to strengthen our organization and future security for CLASP staff. 💪🏽🎉#UnionStrong#BargainingDay
Reminder: ALL workers – regardless of race, religion, or immigration status – deserve a living wage, the right to collectively bargain, and freedom from exploitation.
Don’t let billionaires like Trump and Elon Musk divide us. We are strongest when we stand together.
BREAKING: After over two years of bargaining, we’re so excited to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with @urbaninstitute on a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)! We’re so thankful to @NonprofitUnion for their support throughout this process.

After over 2 years of bargaining, WE FINALLY HAVE A CONTRACT!
NLRB rules layoffs at Color of Change were unlawful attempts to union bust, orders reinstatement of workers with backpay.
Progressive nonprofits have a poor recent record on union busting, hypocritical to their purported values and missions and harmful to their workers
This week the @nytimes gave us their first wages counterproposal. Here are a few highlights:
- A “guaranteed” raise each year of 1%
- A 2% raise for promotions
- A pay floor $16,000 lower than our lowest paid member’s current salary
- No increase in compensation at ratification
Today, UIEU members delivered a letter to @UrbanInstitute President @swartell asking her to support our proposal for across the board pay increases and sick days! #LiveAtUrban
Our members and @EveryTxn worked together to renew our existing contract one more year. 👏🎊TY @NonprofitUnion
When workers have a say in our workplaces- it raises the bar for all of us✊ #unions#1u#TxUnionStrong
All workers need unions!
We are proud to announce that members of the Pocan and Hoyle unit have secured historic Memorandums of Understanding. Today’s victories show that when congressional workers come together to bargain for the pay they deserve, they win—and we’re just getting started.
SPLC Union members had the bravery to use their full names in this @guardian story about our recent vote of no confidence in Margaret Huang’s leadership.
@splcenter leadership hid behind anonymity to deliver corporate doublespeak. https://t.co/Hk07WCWI5N

Good morning! @law360union members are entering the third day of our ULP strike. Please don't cross our digital picket line! Don't open those newsletters! Don't go to the company's web page! But do tell them to hurry up and give us a fair contract!
📢 @SPLCUnion workers have spoken out with a resounding 90% vote of no confidence in @splcenter CEO Margaret Huang after recent layoffs of 25% of the organization's staff, which they argue were aimed at busting the union and have devastated lives.
