Better ask @waikato to model based on data going back to when records actually began.

Summer 1934/5 was a 65 day heatwave where the record temp for Hamilton was set at 35.6° (atmospheric CO2 300-310ppm at the time)
Compared with now a 28.5° av high over a 10 day period.
