@Rob_BVB09 I’m sure you’re right, didn’t mean to sound dismissive. I give them credit for coming out. Nationalist politicians are still way behind on this stuff. They certainly deserve better.
Protests and Riots seem to be almost entirely in loyalist areas. I would guess there is some serious suppression of protests taking place in nationalist areas.
@Aelthemplaer You’re completely wrong. Whilst I’m sure many nationalists agree with loyalist grievances on matter they still won’t be seen to be working with them.
Some Irish Republican Nats have been seen at past protests with Loyalists and been ostracised because of it.
People shouldn't underestimate how precarious of a moment this is for British Governments migrant housing policy.
If riots/inter ethnic violence achieve goal of displacing Migrants from Northern Ireland it will become impossible to carry out a process of UK wide dispersal.
Seen some videos of individual houses of migrants being smashed and set ablaze in Northern Ireland. Looks like HMO’s/migrant hostels being attacked too.
Serious scenes.
The attack in Belfast seems to have happened in a (Irish) Nationalist area, very close to an interface. Whilst it’s highly likely we will see rioting I doubt that it will get to the level of the 2025. Sectarian affiliations will determine outcomes on this more than crime itself.
