@harbingerofwoke Geese is wrong. An AOC presidency would be a massive flop just like her time in Congress has been a flop. She's not a socialist. She's an imperial closed-door class-collaborative careerist Democrat like Pelosi. AOC serves as another sheep dog for the Democratic Party. Expel AOC
Why aren't we running as a Democrat? Because we're not Demsβ we're socialists.

@UtilityCalc The silos that frustrate you are the concrete manifestation of political choices that the right wing of DSA (so far always the dominant tendency of DSA for 44 years) have successfully implemented, repeatedly defended, and maintained. Bureaucratic centralism is the method of SMC
@UtilityCalc The right wing of DSA has fought democratic centralism for 44 years including before DSOC merged w/ NAM. Since the 2016 Trump Bump, the predecessors to GW-SMC have opposed democratic centralism & efforts to cohere the org. Instead championing flexibility for politicians
@Sarah_pdx Very precesient imho. Ultimately it's world socialism or bust. And likely AI singularity will within two decades subjugate all humans to capital not just the working class, peasant class, indigenous nations, non-owning classes. Hope is a stubborn thing. Hope we win
@Sarah_pdx Permanent revolution, although the idea belongs to Marx, the tradition of Trotskyists popularized it. World capitalism/imperialism has successfully expelled socdem reforms, reform governments, and even socialist governments from its body like a splinter is expelled from the hand.
@katewillett Nithya seems to have invested her time & votes into building trust with real estate, cops, and zionists. Too bad she didn't become a reliable partner for workers & our unions. Hopefully DSA LA can do some serious soul searching & reject tailing socialist-in-name-only politicians
@UtilityCalc The primary thing holding this back is the right wing of DSA which favors a Menshevik porousness (low to no standard of membership entry). Raising the activity standards for a member in good standing (migs) aligns with Bolshevik tendencies and cadre development.
@backlessdress26 1. Walk in. Say, "Mommy needs a fucking drink"
2. Order an NA seltzer
3. Tip $20
4. First person strikes up a conversation w/ u, say "What's yer fuckin problem?" *trainwreck aura*
6. Turn to the trainwrecks next to u staring at their phones. Say "Sup?"
7. Strangers β best frands
@harbingerofwoke Imagine if socialists in the labor movement championed closed-door class-collaborative backroom deals with the bosses. It's unthinkable bc it is well known that open bargaining is a precondition to producing mass politics.
@harbingerofwoke Closed-door class-collaborative horse-trading aka closed-door backroom deals centralizes power in the hands of unaccountable politicians. The socialist movement has repeatedly discovered that centralizing power in the party is more democratic. Party activists must steer the ship
@harbingerofwoke You tell us to support AOC even tho she has failed for 8 years to demonstrate that can be relied upon to fight for **Medicare for All**. Instead she has demonstrated a clear pattern of betrayals, support for US imperialism & genocide against π΅πΈ, & voted to ban a rail strike.
@harbingerofwoke Workers want housing, healthcare, and social services. Politicians need to fear getting their careers permanently ripped away from them if they betray their party, the movement, & their constituents. But Geese tells us to tail these unaccountable swamp creatures who fail to fight
I do not understand this economy where nursing homes are so expensive they bankrupt grandparents, yet aides rely on food banks. Daycare can take up a parentβs entire paycheck, yet providers still cannot earn a livable wage and end up needing a second job.
Mexico gives its citizens ponies, we get to die early bitter & broke to fund a $1.5 trillion military that canβt beat a sanctioned mid-tier country
@isaiah_bb House & Senate essentially represent billionaires not people. Geographical representation facilitates the dictatorship of the billionaires. Abolish the Senate. RCV STV & proportional representation in a unicameral House based on one multi-member district ftw. Check @DemConB
@TheRealVarnVlog If Hassan, Chapo, or Bernie put money into the American section of the movement, it should go to cadre to decide how best to invest it: DSA's National Political Committee. The ruthless investment function belongs to the Party (centralized democracy) not the Celebrity / Streamer
@jasonachristian@TheRealVarnVlog every struggle, every union, every important formation, & yes, even every billionaires' government. They should be in bourg' gvt as eyes-&-ears and viral rabble rousers not as closed-door class-collaborative horse-trading politicians unaccountable to a binding socialist program.
@jasonachristian@TheRealVarnVlog The Progressive International seems to be a CPC-aligned attempt, but I fear Chinese billionaires will compromise its politics. We need an international that billionaires can't compromise. We need a robust fully-funded apparatus w/ media in every language & organizers embedded in
