LLMs are retarded and not a threat to us in any AGI sense. They are defeating Moore's law single handedly. They get worse and hallucinate more the bigger they get. They are propped up by the state via state contracts and investor confidence is backing it because its "too big to fail."
Its also almost 1 trillion dollars in debt, and that's counting the 288B in profit Nvidia has made from selling chips for AI.
The real danger of AI is that it will be further nationalized because of people like the OP and propped up further by the tax payer. Its a money sink for the wealthy.
If you want a good laugh at how ridiculous the AI market is go to https://t.co/EiD6XTxNOf
As for corn. Bro fuck corn. Ethanol is garbage gas that's less efficient than other fuels and we are 70 years behind on switching to Nuclear anyways. As for corn based foodstuffs, its terrible for you.
Corn is fine, but most of the corn we consume is highly processed junk like High Fructose corn syrup. Furthermore, almost all corn for consumption is farmed with glyphosates which destroy our gut biome likely leading to all kinds of health and mental health issues in this country.
Corn is also HEAVILY subsidized by the taxpayer. we spend 3-5 billion a year to make corn profitable. This is socialist nonsense that has stayed since the green energy revolution under Carter.
I love the idea of AI. What we have now is state backed wasting of near trillions on shitty models that can no longer scale unless they sell your data or get new permissions to fuck over your life by the state, but corn is an equally retarded socialist sector of the US economy.
Again, my point is simple. Making AI data centers scary for the WRONG reasons like "Big buildings use up all our water look how many gallons it uses" is the type of rhetoric that leads to nationalization of the industry and not a reduction in socialism.
U.S. company Satyress is developing threehalves, a centaur-style robot designed for dangerous environments such as wildfires, rubble searches, toxic areas and confined spaces. The system combines a humanoid upper body with a quadruped mobility platform. #USA#Robotics#UGV#AI
If a corporation is tyrannical, it’s certainly a strange form of tyranny—it’s one that cannot tax or incarcerate you, that you consent to enter, that is subject to external legal constraints, that you are free to exit, and that pays you an agreed-upon wage.
I like how the story is "No he isn't racist"
and not
"Yeah bro, He's my second in command. He's totally racist. Radiant, Amazing, Cool, Innovative, Smart and Talented."
You think MechaHitler would deny it, instead of embracing it, doubling down, and saying how cool it is?
...ok
@d4mb_f4ck3r I disagree.
At least a portion of the actors in the image were terrible at acting (not just personal opinion, but general nerd consensus).
It was not a skill based selection. It wasn't meritocratic, it was quota filling for tax credits.
Since the "author" has me blocked (aka he is soft) I can't reply directly.
It is the Doylistic reasons for the race swapping that he hates, and the repetition of movies race swapping for doylistic reasons that he is making fun of. Noticing is not racist.
@TheodoreThe4th@DarkMatter2525 There* leading*
"One but of this black person ruined the movie!" "Evidence this is racist?" It's because she's black that he hates it
@ATakenUsername3 I'm not scrolling through all of skscartoon's feed just to find out something I already have a gut feeling about. The AI can read through all that way faster to confirm it.
@d4mb_f4ck3r If it doesn't matter, then why is it being done?
The people making the movies are making conscious decisions to pick specific actors over others. What is the motivation for that?
