Miss Peo, please let us know if your landlord has resolved this issue. There is absolutely no reason for a network drop box, the little box behind the wall that terminates a ethernet network drop, to be hot. Ethernet should not be carrying the kind of voltages that can heat up to a significant degree. This suggests there's either a serious wiring issue, or the drop box includes high voltage which if true makes no sense whatsoever. In either case, enough electrical power to cause a wall panel to be warm, let alone hot, to the touch is a clear indication of a SERIOUS, potentially life threatening, issue. This is how electrical fires start. If you want help with this and have no local resource to ask, please feel free to ask me. I used to install ethernet for a living. If you have yet to get help with the issue, I strongly suggest you contact a local fire rescue resource and ask them to come investigate. They have the experience to properly determine if this is a critical issue. This is NOT something you should hope fixes itself. I'm sorry if this distresses you, but what you describe is not normal at all. Especially for a resource intended for networking.

@Petra_Gurin Just a FYI, 99% (anything less has water, avoid) isopropyl alcohol works as an electronics safe cleaner. Use in ventilation, avoid skin contact (it can be absorbed). Flip the keyboard over and use gravity to avoid chasing sticky into key mechanics. Q-tips for tight places. GL!👍

The ocean is nature's perfect white noise maker. When it's calm it can put me asleep every time. I've bought many 'ocean' noise makers and to a unit they're all garbage. Just don't forget the number one rule of visiting the beach: Do NOT bring any device you can't afford to lose. I used to work for an electronics store that did camera/phone repair and three out of five dead devices brought in were salt-water soaked and/or filled with sand. Beaches are absolute death for all electronics, even waterproof ones.

I could be wrong, but given I've already seen this in action, it sure seems likely this is how AI will help people "do more work." Presumably, at a creator's behest the the AI will create. The 'creator' will triage, polish and perfect. Perhaps apply a signature spin. Then release as their own. Whether the AI's 'help' will be made clear, unknown. But unless trained exclusively on the creator's content, the AI will be using assets potentially (likely at this point) stolen from others. The 'creator' will probably increase their output, but a significant amount of the result will be regurgitated content from others. Influencing the end result in unpredictable ways. Is this a bad thing? IMHO, yes. Because, just like Google has become, AI will become a crutch for almost everyone (this is their goal btw). Which will, I believe, significantly cripple creativity for all those who do. Not immediately, it will take a while, possibly a long time, years, decades. And at first it sill seem like the golden age of memes or whatever. But as more and more turn to AI for everything, all the data the AI learned from will expire without new, non-AI influenced, data to consume. Eventually AI will only have AI to teach it, and a significant portion of humanity will start to suffer from their dependency on AI that's just eating its own dog food. True creativity will languish, and the drive to learn will too. The degradation of human intelligence will accelerate. It's already begun given how so many can't even survive without their cell phone. Most of humanity will become mindless, drone-like, using AI for everything. Depending on AI for their news, their opinions, their beliefs. Just look at what goes on today across all the social media platforms. So-called free speech with an AI that invisibly hides anything its owner doesn't like. And as it stands, unless something major changes, anyone foolish enough to trust AI, given who actually owns all of it and their blatantly obvious reasons for shoving it down our throats, is egregiously foolish. In my most humble opinion. But I could, hopefully, be completely wrong. he actions of the (relatively) few the millionaire/billionaire AI proponents pushing it forward come hell or high water, and the economic house of cards precariously balanced on AI success, clearly shows everyone pulling the strings really DO care about humanity as a whole.

@pipkinpippa Pretty sure they don't have issues with wraps. But "eccentricity" is synonymous with wealth, IE if you can afford frivolous lawsuits anything goes, so it probably varies on a case-by-case basis.
