Jacob Petroski

I may have been a Cubs fan before they won the World series. I definitely have poor taste in sports teams.

*Zlatan on Messi missing the PK*

“Everyone misses PK’s. I’ve missed PK’s, Thierry has missed PK’s… Alexi was never asked to take PK’s so he couldn’t miss…” 😬😬

@ClinchRMCF I love me some Yamal as a Barca fan and all but like Kvara is probably sitting up top right now. Man is soooooo good.

🚨🎙️Andrea Pirlo talking about Pedri:

When I watch Pedri, I see a player who refuses to be rushed by the chaos. Most midfielders today are afraid of the ball; they want to get rid of it as quickly as possible so they do not make a mistake. Pedri? He keeps the ball like a secret. He has that rare, silent authority over the grass.

He doesn't just pass; he dictates. He doesn't just run; he glides into spaces that don't exist until he decides they do. In Spain, they speak of La Pausa, but for Pedri, it is more than a pause—it is a choice. He chooses when the game should breathe and when it should strike.

To me, he is the best in the world right now because he is the only one who understands the ultimate sophistication: that the simplest pass is often the most lethal. He is not a runner; he is an architect. And in a stadium full of noise, he is the only one playing the perfect melody."
