❣️ Happy International Albinism Awareness Day!
🌍 From Nepal to Malawi, our grassroots partners are tirelessly advocating for the rights of persons with albinism, including access to sunscreens, equitable healthcare, and justice for those affected by violence. 🧵
We are thrilled to participate in #SVRIForum24 with our feminist grantee partners, Hope Inspired Foundation for Women & Youth with Disabilities, Women Albinism Association & @WomenEnabled. Visit stand 39 to learn why disability-inclusive #SRHR is critical for gender justice.🧵

Inclusive Planning: Involve people with disabilities in all aspects of the climate change-related planning, implementation, and other decision-making interventions to improve all round access to adaptation and mitigation measures for PWDs.
Build Resilient Infrastructure: Ensure climate-resilient infrastructure is accessible to all, prioritizing accessible evacuation routes and shelters.
Capacity Building: Train emergency responders and planners on disability-inclusive practices. Build skills within the PWDs community for climate change adaptation.
Accessible Communication: Provide climate change information in multiple formats: braille, sign language, plain language, audio, transcription, etc. Use accessible technologies and platforms for sharing vital information.
