How curious that the very people who spent years weaving the fiction that @sowore works for Tinubu are today circulating his words because, at last, the truth has become too loud to ignore. They knew it was a lie then; they know it is a lie now. But in politics, convenience often wears the mask of conviction.

Show me one interview where Peter Obi speaks of Tinubu with this same unvarnished candour. Just one. I have searched for courage dressed in plain clothes and found only careful calculation.

I do not support Obi, and I have no intention of supporting his presidential ambition. Yet I hope never to descend to the poverty of spreading falsehoods about him simply because I consider him unfit for the office. Truth is not a weapon to be bent for partisan comfort; once a people begin to trade in convenient lies, they soon lose the ability to recognise inconvenient truths. That is how nations wander into darkness believing they are walking toward the light.
