@Invest_Brandon Selling puts "against" a long position is an oxymoron. You're selling puts IN ADDITION to being long those shares. Its the same directional exposure. "Against" implies it's some sort of hedge.
Be aware of your biases.
I'm biased to sell options, t/p early, and s/l slowly.
I'm aware of this, so whenever I go to trade, I pause and take a moment to think and address my bias.
That being said, I'll never stop selling options 😂.
Daily Options Knowledge: Theta is how much your option value decays (loses value) over time. Typically, traders look at their 1-day or overnight theta, but any measure of theta can be useful.
Intuition: Shorter-dated options decay faster. If you have a 1-day option, it will decay by 100% in 1-day.
*Don't confuse option value with "in-the-moneyness". if an option is in the money, the amount that it stays itm doesn't decay.
