@AreoMagazine@BretWeinstein@HeatherEHeying A well written article with perhaps one possibly significant omission around the inherent and evident limitations of knowledge and the corollary impossibility of ever coming to any “absolute”, “final knowledge” of anything and/or everything.
A heterodoxy right there for you? 🙏🏻
@drg1985@mrjamesob@sciam Your article is peddling what is effectively a dangerous and irresponsible #lie: The #scientific#fact is that ivermectin works:

Personally and collectively, if one is at all sensitive, the experience is that of thought collapsing under the weight of its own incoherence as a march of millennia reaches its logical conclusion.
Humanity is grinding to a halt.
‘The human mind, as it is, is finished.’
On #time as an abstracted appearance (and perceptual limitation) born of #consciousness and #thought as confluences in the universal flux—via ideas of #Krishnamurti, #Bohm and others.

@satoshigallery@aantonop Actually it's all part of the ebb and flow of thinking: Thinking shapes values, shaping images, shaping cultures. Cultures shape ways of thinking, shaping values, shaping images. Etc. Values, images, culture are all just aspects of the decentralised flow of human thought. :)
Failure to appreciate the extent to which #consciousness is an append-only system is one of the key factors shared by just about all our mistaken notions about psychological #change—Little wonder the emphasis #Krishnamurti placed on consciousness emptying itself of its content.
@YangVentures@Kpaxs@NickSzabo4 Psychology: insisting on being a separate individual and then craving true relationships (in wholeness) with others. Etc. etc. Note the common algorithm of fragmentation at work in all the above examples and any possible others.
@Kpaxs@NickSzabo4 Society (as technology) is a product of thought—i.e. responses of memory making up consciousness. It is both possible and imperative to try to "debug" incoherent features of the whole network, not just of 'a tiny fraction'. See rule-governed behaviour of (distributed) holarchies.
@YangVentures@Kpaxs@NickSzabo4 In so-called religion and other dogmatic ideologies: devastating whole regions, killing large populations and/or torturing people (inc. children) in the name of a loving God or to gain favour of the gods or in the name of justice and progress. Etc.
After a period of several hundred years in which dogmatic cultural-scientific narratives forced (spiritual) concerns with wholeness and science apart, the collaboration between #Krishnamurti and #Bohm has marked the beginning of a profound turning-point.

@syndaxvuzz Basically, yes. Though the progress(?) of human civilisation is merely unfolding/mirroring/manifesting—e.g. as educational, legal, financial, technological, etc. systems—the "inner" makeup of our species. The disorder of the outer & the inner are aspects of the selfsame movement.
Agree of course with the overall sentiment... but actually include things like technological innovation and progress as part of that +side, indeed as by-products of "creative" imagination. https://t.co/6QJ7rWIsqo

#Consciousness—as it is—is effectively another level of dreaming: On the +side it lends fleeting moments of imagination. On the –side we're confined to living in & acting through a perpetual nightmare of fragmentation, incoherence and conflict, born of the limitations of thought.
A thorough #insight into the workings of #thought not only shows that our current-historical views on the nature of #consciousness are painfully inadequate, but that any and all psychological pain and suffering are in fact a direct consequence of these inadequate models.
There isn’t an entity choosing its responses from moment to moment. Instances of the psychological movement arise from a network of accumulated experiences (memory) via a conditioned algorithm of “selection” informed by the variable parameters of significance, value and purpose.
The phenomena of choice and free will resist coherent explanation because of the dubious notion of #self as a centre of #consciousness. We may better account for such phenomena thru treating consciousness as a decentralised, yet rule-governed system.
