@bloodoftheland We have real-world examples of how trumatic situations can age you much quicker. Look at presidents from beginning to end of term. Look at Zelenskyy from pre-war to now. Your body can show a lot of stress over a relatively short amount of time.
@TheCaseForkobe1 2012. Kobe had Andrew Bynum as an all-star teammate (i.e. made AS that year), and he was eliminated in the 2nd round by the Thunder who ... checks history ... were not the champs that year (because LeBron was). What sayest you to that?
@TheCaseForkobe1 This is vague. During CLE years, only two non-LBJ Cavs ever made ASG (as reserves) and it was only once each. Big Z in '05 (Cavs in '07 Finals) and MoWil in '09 (LBJ in '11 Finals w/Heat). Seems like you might be counting ever-AS instead of active AS at time, which is misleading.
@maddelucchi Like many, I'd strongly disagree because of KD. Steph does not get '17/'18 w/o KD (maybe 1), and if Kyrie and KLove had just been healthy for '15, I don't think he'd have that one. I think GSW also thought that, which is why KD. Like adding Malone to '96 Bulls.
@justinbrewer33@BarryOnHere You're technically correct, but it's out of context. Bron played almost the whole game, including all of overtime, so a) there isn't a ton of non-Bron time to compare and b) most of the difference came from overtime when the Cavs were outscored by 10.
@theistinthought In Philly, even if you have a car, driving a few blocks away could mean losing a spot near your house, which is often worse. Walk or SEPTA. I'd look in the fridge, say I need enough to make it to Tues., and buy about 3 bags. Rarely had food spoil cause only bought immediate eats.
@ilovebaconnegss@TheDunkCentral@WindhorstESPN Lebron 100% would have received all-NBA votes, possibly 3rd team, had he been eligible. He was all-NBA as recently as, checks notes, last year, and he played this year at a relatively similar clip, even as he took a step back rolewise for part of the year.
@popsbabyiv@ayeejuju But we know that drinking that much antifreeze and not seeking immediate medical attention would likely kill you, which is why even though the outcome is "you'll die/ you won't die", other information can highly skew the likelihood of either outcome happening or being good.
@popsbabyiv@ayeejuju So what I'd do: Pour 100mL of antifreeze in a glass. If fully ingested and he survives for 24 hours, you'll guarantee $10,000 cash. Under logic 50/50 shot that the antifreeze woukd kill you, better than lottery odds and therefore he should logically drink it.
@PerSources For all the discounts Dirk gave, it didn't get better results. He missed the playoffs 5-6 times and was bounced in Round 1 or 2 at least 10 times. LBJ during the same period went to the finals 8 straight years, winning 3. I'd say his approach was better and made him richer.
@NBAWAYOFFS And for Kessler, everyone knows the Lakers are trying to upgrade from Ayton, so you'd have to overpay on the offer sheet to get Danny Ainge not to match, and that would definitely put you in a higher bracket with Reaves, Luka, and this.
@NBAWAYOFFS Also, I'm not sure the exact cap implications, but I feel like all of this would be close to an apron level, and would the ownership/Pelinka take that kind of penalty without a star of LeBron's caliber in the center? Probably not.
@jacobfalach1 I was expecting something that ties up the Filoni verse, like you said, but this movie wasn't that. People start thinking: it can take $40-$50 to go by yourself if you eat/drink anything. Is this film worth that? Many will say no and wait for D+ release. Still fun flick though.
@PlayoffDude I actually agree with this. IF, and that's a huge if, OKC isn't in the way, they can come out of the West. I'm also convinced that LBJ kinda threw games 4 and 5 just to get Austin back and in rhythm and increase the chance to buy the most time for Luka.
