خیر، متأسفانه متفقین نه‌تنها بابت استفاده از خاک، راه‌آهن و منابع ایران هیچ پول واقعی پرداخت نکردند، بلکه با تحمیل هزینه‌های خود، اقتصاد ایران را به ورشکستگی و مردم را به خاک سیاه نشاندند. این یکی از تلخ‌ترین و تاریک‌ترین فصول تاریخ معاصر ایران است. [1, 2]
واقعیت آنچه در آن زمان رخ داد به شرح زیر است:

۱. داستان چاپ اسکناس اجباری و ریالِ بی‌ارزش
متفقین (بریتانیا و شوروی) برای مخارج ارتش خود در ایران و حقوق کارگران، نیاز به پول رایج ایران (ریال) داشتند. آن‌ها دولت ضعیف ایران را مجبور کردند که به صورت بی‌رویه و بدون هیچ پشتوانه‌ای، اسکناس ریال چاپ کند و در اختیار آن‌ها بگذارد.

•متفقین در مقابل این ریال‌ها، به ایران «پوند بریتانیا» و «روبل شوروی» دادند.
•اما مسئله اینجا بود که این پول‌ها در بانک‌های لندن و مسکو مسدود (بلوکه) شده بودند و ایران اجازه نداشت با آن‌ها کالا، دارو یا گندم وارد کند!
•در نتیجه، حجم عظیمی از پول بی‌پشتوانه وارد بازار ایران شد، در حالی که هیچ کالایی برای خرید وجود داشت. این اقدام منجر به یک ابر‌تورم وحشتناک (بالای ۱۰۰ درصد) و سقوط کامل ارزش پول ملی ایران شد.

۲. پول سوخت و راه‌آهن؛ از جیب مردم ایران!
راه‌آهن سراسری ایران با خون‌دل و با مالیات بر قند و شکرِ سفره مردم در زمان رضا شاه ساخته شده بود. اما متفقین پس از اشغال ایران، کنترل کامل راه‌آهن و شریان‌های جاده‌ای را به دست گرفتند: [1, 3]

•آن‌ها از خطوط ریلی ایران به صورت شبانه‌روزی و کاملاً رایگان برای حمل میلیون‌ها تن بار استفاده کردند. بار سنگین قطارهای متفقین به قدری زیاد بود که بخش زیادی از ریل‌ها و قطارهای تازه تأسیس ایران مستهلک و نابود شدند و هیچ هزینه‌ای بابت تعمیر آن‌ها داده نشد.[1]
•در مورد سوخت و نفت، بریتانیا کنترل کامل شرکت نفت انگلیس و ایران (پالایشگاه آبادان) را در دست داشت. آن‌ها نفت و سوخت ایران را تقریباً به قیمت صفر و به عنوان سهم خود برداشت می‌کردند تا ارتش شوروی و بریتانیا را تغذیه کنند. دولت ایران هیچ درآمد یا مالیات واقعی از این حجم عظیم سوختی که از دل خاکش استخراج می‌شد، دریافت نکرد. ۳. فاجعه مصادره کامیون‌ها و قحطی بزرگ
متفقین برای حمل بارها به روسیه، تمام کامیون‌ها، اتوبوس‌ها و حتی اسب‌ها و قاطرهای بخش خصوصی و دولتی ایران را به زور مصادره کردند.[1]

•این کار باعث شد که شبکه توزیع کالا در داخل ایران کاملاً قفل شود.
•گندم و برنج در مازندران و شیراز روی زمین می‌گندید، اما وسیله‌ای برای حمل آن‌ها به تهران یا شهرهای قحطی‌زده وجود نداشت؛ چون همه کامیون‌ها در خدمت جابجایی بار برای روسیه بودند.
•علاوه بر این، ارتش‌های اشغالگر غلات و آذوقه موجود در بازار ایران را برای سربازان خود پیش‌خرید یا مصادره می‌کردند. [1]

نتیجه: لقب «پل پیروزی» به قیمت جان مردم ایران
نتیجه این دزدی آشکار منابع و تحمیل هزینه‌ها، قحطی بزرگ سال‌های ۱۳۲۱ و ۱۳۲۲ در ایران بود. نان در تهران جیره‌بندی و با خاک اره مخلوط شد. بیماری‌های تیفوس و تیفوئید به دلیل نبود دارو و سوءتغذیه بیداد کرد و صدها هزار تن (و طبق برخی آمارهای تاریخی تا چندین میلیون نفر) از مردم بی‌گناه ایران از گرسنگی و بیماری جان باختند. تو این چندسال نمیدونم اسمش چیه اما تو صحبت با بقیه، از همه سختتر خانمهای هفتاد هشتاد ساله هوشیار بودند بدون اغراق!
