Quick Shot: Terminology for Writers

Nauseated = feel like vomiting

Nauseous = make other’s nauseated

Unless you MEAN it, STOP saying “I’m NAUSEOUS,” which really means “stay away, I have a toxic personality and will be a burden on your soul.”

Looking for advice on how to split up a 250k word adult SF series. I’m 70k in.

I’d love to make it a trilogy, but 85k each seems short. Advice on #querying seems to suggest a first novel of 125k is too long, but that doesnt seem right

Everyone remotely involved in healthcare knows, you can’t shock a “flatline.” Someone with a flatline rhythm, or ‘asystole,’ can only recover w/CPR and potentially meds like epinephrine

I almost never put anxiety as a diagnosis on a chart. First make sure it’s not the dissection making you feel anxious.

So much of what we do is an algorithm, but felt like i saved a life last night

Saw a patient lost to follow up, found an old note about a pacemaker 10 years ago for mobitz 2, had it interrogated to check the battery. 100% av paced. The battery was about to die.
