The @ThePwdcast has no new episode this week and will have to go into a short hiatus as @ODSPoor (Creator/Host/Editor) has to focus on himself.
Advocating from within the oppression is exhausting, punishing and destructive to the self. We will return after rehumanization/rest.
I was receiving more from the carbon tax rebate & GST before you canceled it & rebranded GST to make it look like you're helping us when the reality is you've made life harder, especially for disabled Canadians with you purposely underfunding the Canada disability benefit
I wanted to write something profound but my anxiety made me delete the last one. Things are bad, but at least we have community online, unlike those who left the footsteps we follow.
We are apart but not alone.
We are many even when just one.
We are disabled, not disposable.
As a disability advocate, Ive done my due diligence and am announcing my endorsement of Leanne Caron for Mayor of #Guelph.
Not only does Leanne show up for community events, boosting the most vulnerable and has the city council experience, she also has a leadership education which will guide this city forwards with balance, integrity and growth for all.
I have been proud to know Leanne and her family for over 20 years and I know she really cares for this community and her heart-felt, positive and grassroots supported campaign only proves her candidacy further.
I am so proud to say this was my first ever election sign placement, having been living in legislated poverty, homelessness, addictions and sex work for 20 years of my life. My voice matter again.
I'm here, I'm invested and I'm voting.

Injustices build like plaque, and the rage associated has to be realized or it continues to burn internally, in silence and with harm.
Finding ways to vent, I got into advocacy and expose my life experience with articulation and fear.
But when I share and communicate my pain, it becomes real, tangible and acknowledged.
That lightens the load only a fraction, but that's always a win in our world.
Tell, share, draw, paint, sing, dance, sign, and take control of the rising anger, pain and rage by turning it into fuel for the fight.

On AISH or ADAP? Someone you are dating could be counted as your "cohabiting partner", and your benefits could be affected. Other Albertans get three years before the law calls them partners.
Andrew Green explains in "The Price of Love": https://t.co/rqHSpyXobf #AISH#ADAP
Some Canadian docs reveal missionary zeal to slander/attack those who criticize MAID & warn about tension w medical ethos, especially those w public voice. This doc tweets 3 derogatory comments on 1 article, here w hate-speech level simplification, ignoring state responsibility

A bright orange box which represents a national day to remind us of genocide, democide and the colonization of the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island right through to today.

Very pleased and honoured to have presented on the Solfagnano Charter with distinguished colleagues today at Carlton University.
Sincere gratitude to Italian Disability Minister Alessandra Locatelli @Ale_Locatelli_ Canada's Minister of Jobs and Families, Patty Hajdu @PattyHajdu, Parliamentary Secretary, Leslie Church @lesliechurch, Ambassador of Italy to Canada, Alessandro Cattaneo @Aless_Cattaneo, Dr. Betina Appel Kuzmarov, Assoc. Vice President & Vice Provost, @Carleton_U, the Italian Embassy @ItalyinCanada, and all the @ESDC_GC team that worked to make this happen.
A great event and great partnership with Italy and the other G7 countries working together on disability inclusion and accessibility. Well done everyone!
The groceries & essentials benefit is just rebranded GST, we*d have more money in our pockets if you didn't cancel the carbon tax rebate. Disabled Canadians would have more money if the Liberals fulfilled the promise of lifting us out of poverty instead of a pathetic $200 CDB
The MAiD joke isn't funny, us people with disabilites face coercion every day and I've been in four documentaries included Al Jazeera to talk about it. Now you double down by ignoring the ministry disolved was also the ministry of Disability... @atRachelGilmore do better.
27% of us identify as having a disability, costs 40% more to live, MAiD for mental illness and some of track 2 is democide and social murder for profit, I wanted MAiD after being homeless a 7th time. Please educate yourself and quit neglecting the largest minority group in Canada
"Persons with disabilities know the challenges and frustrations with obtaining disability supports they need. In fact, many thousands get no support at all. You know this, but the Canadian public more broadly does not, and therefore we need your story."

Btw this was my city Saturday night: our useless mayor shrugged it off, the university takes no blame and we foot the bill while people are homeless and starving in encampments across #Guelph.

The pro-euthanasia crowd never fails to disappoint or surprise me. With all this assisted suicide/euthanasia new interest going on, on X it seems that whenever you correct somebody, informed them of Track 2, or show something that they don’t like, they pivot, call you a name and then block you.
