@JQYouth IMO the biggest issue rabbi greenbox needs to confront is whether to put reputation concerns above the needs of actual constituents.

While that dilemma is a real one, masking it as a conflict of Torah values sounds to me like a weak argument that avoids the real issue at hand.

@JQYouth I can understand the concern here about outside pressure & appearances. I get rabbis being worried about making something like this “official” and about how it would look for a rainbow club to be school sanctioned (although none of those concerns are halachic from where I stand)

@JQYouth What’s hard for me to wrap my head around is school leadership (whose top priority should be the safety and well being of the students) that wants these students to all feel alone and like they’re the only ones. Especially when we KNOW that they aren’t.
