There is no mention of Pakistan in this statement, which is exactly what China would have pressed for and got. Meaning, India conceded on the wording to ensure everyone signs on it. And China had used similar words to condemn the attack right after it happened. So no narrative gain for New Delhi either.

If you are genuinely interested in foreign policy, the first thumb rule is stop following godi media.

I’m hearing something potentially significant on girls’ education in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Education may have received an approval for a limited reopening above Grade 6, starting with girls whose studies stopped around Grades 10–12.

Reportedly, they would register, complete six months of study, then sit an exam to receive their graduation certificate. If this pilot works, it will be expanded to lower grades later.

If true, this could be the first small crack in a policy that has kept millions of Afghan girls out of school.

But I’m keeping my expectations very low. We’ve heard “good news” like this before, only to be disappointed.

For now: cautiously hopeful, waiting for an official confirmation.
