Steve Kerr on his decision to bench Jayson Tatum during the Olympics
“We had LeBron James and Kevin Durant ahead of him… They’re two of the greatest players of all time. Jayson happened to be playing the same position as them. If I had just said, “I'm going to play the best five guys” or whatever, then, yeah, Jayson’s probably out there. But you’re trying to put together a team. And so, ironically, the guys I played ahead of him were also Boston Celtics: Derrick White and Jrue Holiday. We needed guys who were on-ball defenders, facilitators, who would make Steph and LeBron and Kevin better. Jayson wasn’t really suited for that role as well as those other guys.” 😬

@EliteClubS0B@WONF4W “A lot of people in NXT” means “I scrolled X and message boards from fans questioning this and we’re going to say it’s people within NXT”. There I fixed it for everyone
Or better yet…
Any of the released superstars come out it’s always crickets but they get released and all of a sudden they’re #1 fans of them who have supported them since they started wrestling X amount of years ago
@TwistedJohnX You don’t pay money for those. It’s free as long as you get there early enough to secure a spot and they have to keep those lines moving because they’re only there for a couple of hours if that so not everyone can get 10 minutes to interact with them.
I wish these “journalists” would say what actually happens. When they say “sources” or “talent said…” they should say “I was scrolling through Twitter and saw people were upset so I’m rolling with this story”
Talent backstage in WWE felt that Pat McAfee's inclusion in Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes doesn't make sense and isn't needed given the history between the two.
McAfee's comments on SmackDown, which were unscripted, didn't help the situation either.
One talent reportedly said there was "sympathy" for Cody Rhodes as he now has to "carry that additional weight" going into WrestleMania.

“Those spoken to” means I scrolled through X and saw people were upset about this so I had to add fuel to the fire to further the narrative that WWE is terrible right now because the internet tells me everyday
Regarding the Pat McAfee reveal on SmackDown, those spoken to believe this was an edict from TKO brass to WWE creative, not an idea that originated in the WWE writing room, and was approved by Paul Levesque.
One source believed the edict may have come from as far up as Ari Emanuel.

I love how these fans with wrestlers as their profile picture can obviously see what WWE is doing and reporting it as if it’s breaking news or something
GUNTHER vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 was NOT a unanimous creative decision, as some wanted Rollins to wrap up the Vision story, while others simply wanted to get GUNTHER on the card.
