In order to heal, it’s imperative that we completely let go. Surrender the hurt. Surrender the pain. Surrender the desire for your side to be understood. Surrender the love that once was. Surrender the anxiety of what’s to come next in your life. It’s time to move on, my friend.

Hey Chicago! If you live in or around Hyde Park area, don’t go to the new Barnes & Noble. Call & Response Books is AROUND THE BLOCK, Black owned by a husband and wife couple, and their selections are amazing. They host community events all the time and have a zine! Support them!
People don’t talk enough about how nice it is to feel sure in love. Not anxious. Not half-loved. Not almost chosen. Being assured they want you. No begging. No shrinking. No proving your worth. That kind of love is everything.

If you’re going through a tough period, I really want to recommend reading Isaiah 40-43, these four chapters have helped me so much when I feel week, shaky with my Faith, or helpless. They remind me that God is with me & truly my strength is in and from God.
