The middle class is the most expensive place to live, and no one talks about it. Lower income households get assistance. The wealthy use tax strategies and loopholes. But the middle class pays full taxes, full tuition, full healthcare, full everything. So you work 50 hours a week just to stay in the same place and fund everyone’s life except yours.
A Dollar General employee with diabetes started feeling the symptoms of a hypoglycemic episode while working at the cash register.
She grabbed a $1.69 orange juice from the store and drank it to stabilize her blood sugar, then paid for it after the medical emergency passed.
She did pay for it.
But the company fired her anyway, calling it “grazing” because she consumed the item before purchase.
Later, a jury sided with her and awarded her $277,565 total, including $27,565 in back pay and $250,000 in compensatory damages.
Billionaires don’t have bank accounts like you and me. They have art collections, Yachts,Mansions,Stocks. None of it gets taxed until they sell it. So they just never sell it. They borrow against it instead. Live off the loans. Pay almost nothing. Then when they die, their kids inherit it all tax-free. The wealth never gets taxed, It just gets passed down. And we wonder why the gap keeps getting wider.
I don’t live in the US but a friend who live there just told me about a new version of the American Dream:
- A used Toyota Corolla
- No credit card debt
- A Costco membership
- Being able to pay rent without roommates
Is this real?
Things done out of love for the wrong person can never be something you shame the doer for.
She loved through words and actions, some of you are dead inside and can never understand what that is,
Yall should sit this one out.
