@HMRCcustomers But leading on from that, if you have to write a review in order to receive the ticket, presumably that renders them non-transferrable by their very nature. In which case they could never be taxable in such an arrangement?
@HMRCcustomers But if you are taxed on the value of them as a receipt and then have to use them in the course of your work, surely they are at a cost to you?

One last q. If a journalist receives a ticket in return for writing a review of ut, it would potentially be taxable, but would it not also be a wholly and exclusive cost, as it had been used in the course of the journalists self-employed work? Thanks!
