Algeria v Austria will go down as one of the craziest endings to a football match ever.
The match was littered with conspiracy theories about how "This match has to end in a draw", knowing that a draw is the only result that saw them both qualify.
The match then proceeded to end in a draw - so conspiracy theorists are correct? Right?
Man I just don't believe in the script or the fix or anything. 0 shots after the hydration break until the 90+3red minute. Algeria spent 10 minutes just passing the ball back and forward in their own half.
Then Riyad for no reason decides to go for the win and scores in the 90+3rd.
The match STILL ends in a draw as Sasa Kalajdzic subs in the 90+4th and equalizes??
Meanwhile all of Iran is watching knowing they advance if either team wins, and see 3 different lead changes.
You can say it was rigged, you can say this was the result that had to happen and that's fine. But if you watched that game, and saw how those goals went down, especially that last one. There's no way you could recreate that if you tried.
An unreal ending that broke the hearts of many and brought tears of joys to other.
The beautiful game can take and give in a moments notice. Congrats to Austria and Algeria on advancing in the most dramatic way I could imagine.
HOLY SHIT
this is either gonna be a tremendous success for the timberwolves or the locker room is gonna burst into flames by february those are the only two possible outcomes here lol
