This is exactly why you should NEVER blindly trust a prop firm’s written approval.
This happened to me with #MyFundedFutures a firm that claims to be one of the world’s leading futures prop firms.
I am from Northern Cyprus.
Because of my country’s unique status, I never pay a prop firm before getting written approval.
Before paying MFF anything, I contacted them first.
I explained my situation in detail.
I sent them my national identity card.
Then I asked one simple question:
“Can I buy an account? Will I have any KYC or payout issues?”
They reviewed my national identity card.
They gave me a clear and definitive written confirmation by email that I was eligible to purchase an account and would not face any KYC or payout issues.
That written approval was the only reason I paid them.
Based on that written approval, I purchased 3 accounts.
I passed one.
I became funded.
Then everything changed...
I was told that my country was not eligible, my funded account would not be activated, and that only the purchase price of my funded account would be refunded.
Now I have a few simple questions for MyFundedFutures.
If my country wasn’t eligible, why did you approve my national identity card before taking my money?
If your support team’s written approval means nothing, why should anyone ask for approval before buying an account?
What if I had trusted your written approval and bought 10 accounts instead of 3?
Would you still have discovered that I was “not eligible” only after I became funded?
A written approval should be honored.
When I tried to explain my situation on your Discord, I was banned almost immediately.
Was banning me easier than answering my questions?
Respect your customers.
They’re the reason your business exists.
They trust you with their money.
Take a hard look at yourselves...
