MH370 was a covert operation. Yes, they can avoid people speaking out, especially when not many people know.

Just think about it. Does it make sense that the United States would have no data about a missing Boeing 777 that was flying for 8+ hours? Of course not.

Why did the US not help the search? Why did we give up assisting after a month? Why did Obama never talk about the plane except twice?

So yes, it was a fire because it was an operation with a specific goal. The op may not have gone as planned, hence the pretty bad cover up, leveraging Malaysian officials to make vague statements and produce no results.

People in the future will look back at MH370 as a low point in the ignorance of humanity.

Many refuse to accept the most obvious answer because it upsets their fragile worldview.
