I grew up a Notre Dame fan because we didn’t have cable, & they were the only team I could watch with any regularity.

I’d be willing to bet there are Braves & Cubs fans with the same backstory.

Criteria to be a football fan of a college football team

1. You went/go to school there
2. You grew up/lived in the same town
3. Parents/Grandparents graduated from there

Anything else and it’s stupid. You should have a connection to the football team you’re rooting for
