It’s probably safe to say that the Pocket Fire is Arizona’s biggest fire for the 2026 season wrapping up around 27K acres. Extremely mild fire season - even with hot/dry spring weather.

July 9th 2026: "Old School" Monsoon Start in Phoenix = 3 days in a row avg hourly Td 55F+. some say using minute dew pt obs it started earlier but historic approach is using hourly observations so you can compare it fairly with past. End of controversies - Monsoon is Here . #azwx
