This is depressing. Friedl is not far removed from being an above average player over the past few years, but he has been a standout in terms of ineptitude this season.

Since the start of May, the Cincinnati Reds have gone from 20-12 to 24-24. Good for a 4-12 record, 4 series losses, 2 sweeps, and an 8 game losing streak.

Yes, this team is down some of it's better players. But, they're bad with the good players they do have.

Also, I know it's a common default to look at the Pirates as bad, but not only are they not too bad this year, the one great thing they have going for them is their pitching is quite good.

I want the Reds to play great against everyone, but the other guys are good too.
