The other day I had a great opportunity arise in my work. On Friday, I decided to take my family to dinner to celebrate the goodness of this new opportunity. Just as I wrapped my last call of the day,
I know that life is hard. I understand that every single one of us is struggling with something. And I know that most of us feel utterly alone amid that struggle. But, make no mistake, I hear you, I see you, I am one of you.
Second, I want to illustrate the point that we all can impact the success or failure of others. We can help not just one person, but often multiple generations, all with a simple gesture of kindness and compassion.
The reality is that if I change my perspective from one of believing that adversity is something to be overcome to one of believing that adversity is here to teach me something new, a world of possibilities is opened. Here’s to seeking new perspectives!!
Perspective is everything. In my life, I have at times struggled with feeling like I was stuck. I have felt like all I could find were headwinds when all I wanted was a tailwind. My natural response? Push harder.

So often in my life I have stumbled. Many times I have fallen. In the moments that follow, the content of my character is on full display. I strive to live in such a way that those who see me would say: “Though he did fall, he had the courage to rise again, and again, and again.”
