Funny thing is, that standard hurts Lane Kiffin more than Pete Golding.

Kiffin’s 10-3 team in Year 2, 2021, had 32/44 (73%) of its two-deep inherited from Matt Luke .

Even in Year 3, 16/44 (36%) were still Luke guys.

Golding is in Year 1 and already 21/44 (48%) of his two-deep are newcomers added after he took over.

So “these are all Lane’s guys” just isn’t remotely accurate, and it’s not a very good argument to make if you want to give Lane credit for what he did early at Ole Miss.

For all the talk about how "violent" Oxford, Mississippi, was going to be yesterday, the only person who threw anything was the head football coach of LSU, throwing a football at Ole Miss fans and striking one of them in the head.

I'm sure if the Ole Miss fans threw stuff at Kiffin, our school would take a hefty fine and the folks who threw items would be tracked down, arrested, and banned from future athletic events. I doubt coaches will be held to the same standard.
