#BoxOffice REWIND: The Special Edition of #StarWars was released 24 years ago today shattering the JAN opening wknd record with an eye-popping $35.9M on its way to $138.2M - an astonishing result for a re-release. The 1997 hit would hold onto that record for 11 long years.
Really enjoying MANDALORIAN S2 so far. Giving Baby Yoda really, really long legs (I’d estimate six feet just from the knees down) while keeping his torso the same size has added a surprisingly cool new layer of challenge and emotion to the action sequences
@PeterSciretta@liambrazier I don’t think they’ll touch the OT either. Pablo Hidalgo previously made comments implying there was a gentleman’s agreement to leave the OT as it was in Lucas’ final cut before selling - maclunkey and all.
@missingwords I learned before my trip to GE - read all of the signs for my group. It was a blast, added a lot to the experience. These rules are funny, but the notice board just inside Oga’s is great too!
@SteeleWars I loved the hyperspace skipping. It’s a fun solution to the hyperspace tracking from TLJ.
But this looks like a cool sequence too. Could be reused in a future film!
@swankmotron I don’t feel any lack of continuity between TFA and TLJ. But TLJ could’ve gone in a number of directions - there could be plenty of in-character reasons or plot points to support Luke’s isolation or anything else set up in TFA.
@PeterSciretta That’s a brilliant idea. Timeline differences between the coasts would’ve been incredible.
I hope they bring back SW wknds featuring temporary timeline changes. ROTR and the ships would be out of place, but they could load up a new Falcon mission and send out new characters.
@AdamFrazier On top of all of this - if the dreadnought has not been destroyed then it would’ve followed the Resistance through hyperspace and used it’s auto cannons to destroy the Resistance fleet from afar. Poe disobeying Leia saved the fleet.
TLJ Force plot > TLJ Poe/Finn/Rose/Holdo plot
@SteeleWars If that’s the case then we can also assume Vader was stopping Luke from being possessed when he blocked that strike. It works and it’s fine, but it’s also inconsequential.
