#apesland@franklinlorax By using my soil texture chart, I was able to find out exactly how much and what type of loam should be used to help my succulent grow most efficiently.
The Rocky Mountain Range is behind me here in Colorado. These mountains were formed by massive tectonic plate collisions millions of years ago. @franklinlorax#apesland
This plant requires the correct combination of minerals and fertilizer in order to grow properly. If the balance is off by too much, the plant will begin to wilt and become unable to grow. This same idea can be applied to all plants, not just this one #apesland@franklinlorax
I drive a 2018 Ford F-150 STX. While this truck does increase my ecological footprint, it utilizes new technologies like EcoBoost. This feature reduces emissions and helps to create better fuel efficiency which is better for our environment. #apespop@franklinlorax
By using my computer to take the majority of my notes and essays, rather than using paper, I am playing my part in reducing my ecological footprint #apespop@franklinlorax
This is a picture of a temperate forest which is what we live in here in Wisconsin. In the temperate forest there is a wide variety of animal/plants like deer, coyotes, and buckthorn. This biome also gets an average of 50 inches of precipitation per year. #apeseco@franklinlorax
This is a rainbow trout I caught that is native to Wisconsin. This rainbow trout has adapted to live in the cool waters that Wisconsin has due to our cold winter climate. This adaptation allows the rainbow trout to thrive in cold Wisconsin conditions. #apeseco@franklinlorax
This is Carlos.
Carlos is the apex predator/secondary consumer of his farm. This is because he eats the sheep, which are primary consumers, that eat grass, the primary producer. #apeseco@franklinlorax
@BrandyKim29@franklinlorax Not only plastic water bottles, but many other plastic pollutants make their way into aquatic ecosystems, which causes a lot of unnecessary damage to those ecosystems
Plastic water bottles are just bad for the environment-the entire life cycle of disposable water bottles uses fossil fuels. Not only that it releases millions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per year and kills many creatures on land and water!♻️♻️#apeswater@franklinlorax
@jake_fialkowski@franklinlorax This is a great way to prevent water pollution as it has an added benefit of helping grow plants, which are also an important part of the ecosystem
Instead of raking leaves out of a garden before winter, leave them in. They will make the soil much more fertile and better for growing plants. This eliminates the need for fertilizers which can run off into our waterways and can cause many issues. @franklinlorax#apeswater
Our tap water, which we use for many things such as showering, cleaning, drinking, and so much more, all comes from Lake Michigan, but has been thoroughly treated to ensure that it is much cleaner in our homes than it was in the lake. @franklinlorax#apeswater
