Personally I would like any potential teaching candidate to have demonstrable experience of working with and for children in some capacity to show their values - more akin to the younger teacher your child had 👍

@DudeAdhd @HiVisss I genuinely don’t think people should be allowed to do it straight from uni - people need to have experienced something outside of being educated themselves. Best teachers I’ve known have all brought experience outside of academia

@guardianmoney Fantastic. I was in same position in 2011 & had to go on the sick to grieve and bring up my new baby daughter. I’m sure having this cause to focus on has helped him, as fundraising did for me. You’ll be one of an unfortunate few who truly understand the impact this will have.

Fantastic result. In the same position in 2011, before even the shared paternity arrangements now, I had 2 weeks leave and had to go on the sick to grieve and learn how to be a sole parent. Well done Aaron
