Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.

Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.

It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.

Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.

Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.

Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.

JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.

Pou chèf gang yo ak manm gang yo k ap kenbe kat konpatriyòt nou yo an otaj ann Ayiti:

Nou deja fini ak gang yo nan El Salvador, e nou kapab fini ak nou tou.

Nou toujou gen tan pou evite sa.

Remèt nou kat konpatriyòt nou yo vivan, san okenn mal, epi tout bagay ap retounen jan sa te ye anvan kidnaping lan.

Desizyon an nan men nou.

Always remember that once these people are done destroying your cherished hobbies, there’s no point where things begin to recover.

The institutions they hijack just collapse once they’ve served their purpose for the eternal Progressive omnicause.

The past few days, I got my hands on thousands of new transcripts and hundreds of recordings, thanks to leads from @SKDoubleDub33 and @iamlisalogan .

You've heard that the DSA is proposing structural reforms to America, including abolishing the Senate and imposing term limits.

What you not have heard is - there is an operational plan to put it all into action. If the Democratic Party sweeps 2026, then DSA will become "foot soldiers" in constant clashes with the administration to cross a "red line" or invoke a "doomsday scenario" - meaning, President Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, probably sometime in 2027.

Then, a lot of coordinated responses kick off, including delegitimizing the federal government itself and handing that legitimacy to Democratic governors. 2028 then becomes a vote on whether to keep America governance as-is or to burn it all down to appease a "young and brown" demographic.

The mysterious group who's been coordinating 50501, Indivisible, and coordinating the NoKings protests is called "United Democracy Alliance" and their intellectual leader is Erica Chenoweth who came up with the 3.5% rule of nonviolent regime change.

Patience. I know I've hyped this more than anything else. It's genuinely the biggest discovery I've had. This is an enormous archive. This is only the beginning.

[Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius]

I've been cranking all day on this.

Some things are so important that they need to be explored in depth, and in real time.

The shocking revelations from Data Republican regarding the plot to overthrow our Constitution is such a thing and now is such a time.

We are facing a color revolution. This article explains how color revolutions have worked overseas in the past at the hands of the CIA and USAID, and how those now ex-USAID employees, now ensconced in well-funded NGOs, are currently using the same tactics against our own nation.

It's a long article, almost 2,500 words.

If you care about this, please read. It's a very complex set of concepts, and takes more than a few words to explain adequately.

Thanks.

If every Japanese person in Japan was to become infertile overnight, but you imported 10 million Irish people - there would still be no Japanese babies. Just 10 million Irish people with Japanese passports. And terrible Sushi.

In 1999 Clinton wanted to invest a portion of Social Security into the stock market. If we did that SS would be fully funded for, at minimum until 2056. Likely much longer than that.

But boomers said no because it was "too risky." So instead Trump had to literally start an entire new SS program to replace it with what we should've done.

When we talk about cultural compatibility it’s not some hypothetical issue. What we can and cannot do in public, or even in private, is informed by our cultural upbringings. If you’re raised in a culture that views killing and eating cows as a sin, an evil, then having smoke from its cooking waft into your house is not only annoying and unpleasant, but deeply offensive. That culture is incompatible with one that enjoys grilling. There isn’t really a compromise here. One side will get what they want and the other won’t. It is a win-lose situation.

The more you import different culture, the more of this conflict you create.

If America had built 1,000 nuclear reactors by 2000 and continued expanding, nuclear power would supply ~90% of our electricity today, even with dramatically higher demand from electrification.

We wouldn’t just have cheaper, abundant electricity. We’d have an entirely different industrial economy. Never forget what they stole from you.

Immigrants will simultaneously say:

1) They are just as American as anyone else.

2) Loyalty to their country of origin is the single most important political issue.

1. Helldivers switches to Easy Anti Cheat.
2. immediately, unmodded divers can't run the game due to either being locked out for no perceivable reason or the game crashing on startup.
3. those who CAN get in report terrible preformance, which for many also leads to crashes
4. adding EAC also basically curbs any progress on Helldivers 2 being playable on Steam Decks, because EAC hates Proton.
5. on top, many report that EAC is preventing Crossplay from working.
6. Arrowhead also avoiding saying how the most downloaded mods were QOL fixes like Hellpod Steering or Armor Transmog. or how they talked about mods in the past, and in the same update, didn't implement any long awaited QOL fixes (that the mods fixed in a week with AI, that they've "been working on" for 2+ years)
AND DESPITE ALL OF THIS!
where I gave them a week upon hearing about it this morning at about 6:30AM, modders and hackers already bypassed EAC within 4 hours of it's launch. because it's EAC.

good fuckin job Arrowhead, even your own discord is flaming you for this.

A Yemeni gun shop is selling this beautiful MG42, locally known as the “Hitler machine gun.”

The asking price? 800,000 Yemeni riyals, or roughly $3,387.

Imagine the collector’s market in the U.S. if something like this could legally be imported. The potential value of a piece of WWII history like this is on a completely different level.
