Survived my PhD, still keeping an eye on politics and the economy. Managing sugar levels with humor and escaping on a bike whenever the mood strike 🏍️

How does she know the child is beyond redemption ? Look at your politicians, murdered, rapists and what not ? They are in the same society and even they are ruling over you. So please, could you stop that ?

[RichaChadha @RichaChadha]

Then why is it not banned ?

What are we waiting for ?
That child is beyond redemption. He cannot adjust in a society.

[Ron🐞 @TheSciCritic]

Don't you think bringing chainshaw is more easy, then bringing the approximately 300 kilograms of explosives, including approximately 80 kilograms of RDX for pulwama attack.

Did we found that how it came to India till now ? I hope you also have raised this question in 2019 for the security of India ?

[Ron🐞 @TheSciCritic]

I agree that blaming cinema alone is an easy way out. But dismissing its influence altogether is equally simplistic. Children, especially at an impressionable age, often struggle to distinguish fiction from reality and may imitate what they see on screen. Remember the Shaktimaan incidents?

Education, upbringing and parenting are certainly crucial, but so is understanding the influence of media. It's not about blaming Vanga or Neel personally; it's about acknowledging that everything a child consumes can shape their perception of what is acceptable.

The responsibility is collective, not convenient.

[Dr.Medusa @ms_medusssa]

Every single one of you, who watched movies that glorified violence in men, every single one of you who said "entertainment is entertainment", ever single one of you that excuses violent speeches, actions, HATE-POP songs in politics because "politics me to ye sab hoga hi", every single one of you that has dismissed domestic violence cases, eve teasing cases, rapes, every single one of you that normalises violence in relationships, every single one of you that puts the burden of safety on girls, on women, EACH ONE OF YOU IS RESPONSIBLE.

[Ron🐞 @TheSciCritic]

I don't entirely agree with some of the points made by @RichaChadha

At the end of the day, children are children. They are still developing their understanding of consequences, right and wrong, and the distinction between fiction and reality. That's precisely why parents, teachers and society have a responsibility to educate, guide and supervise them.

Children often imitate what they see on television and in films without fully understanding the consequences. I hope we haven't forgotten the incidents of children jumping off rooftops, believing they could fly like Shaktimaan.

We cannot simply blame children for behaviour they may not fully comprehend. We must also question what they are exposed to, what they are taught and, more importantly, what we as adults are failing to teach them.

Children learn from what they watch, but even more from what we teach them.

Couldn’t breathe after I saw the video. Called Panchkula Police station.
Here’s the number
08146630016. Inquired if the girl has survived, was told it’s a “sensitive matter”

Honestly, that lil boy is the devil. I wish he banged his own head on that brick. What ugly upbringing! Psycho.
No redemption, no forgiveness

I hope deleting video will solve the problem. From this i remember, a quote from Manto.

@Delhiite_ It reminded me of a TV series from the Netflix.

It was good TV series to watch, but if happens in reality. It hurts to its core.

We have failed as a society, as a parents, as a teacher.

Who is responsible for this ?
Parents
Teachers
Society
Movies influence

This is a failure of all.

I’m deeply alarmed by Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank.

Settlements are expanding, evictions are unrelenting with Palestinians driven from their lands, settler violence is surging, Palestinian families are being assaulted.

We are seeing an increasingly coercive environment, with the spectre of ethnic cleansing looming ever larger.

This must end.

There can be no durable peace in the Middle East without the realization of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

UN Commission of Inquiry:

"Israel has committed war crimes & the crimes against humanity of extermination, persecution, torture, rape & other forms of sexual violence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, intentionally targeting Palestinian civilians."
