After Messi's temporary retirement in 2016 when Di Maria got handed over the keys of the national side, Argentina were on the verge of missing the 2018 World Cup. It took Messi coming out of retirement and a final-matchday hat-trick to drag them to the World Cup.
I’m glad Messi won the World Cup in Qatar. The atmosphere, the presentation, the iconic final, the celebrations, it all felt special. If there was ever a stage worthy of crowning the greatest footballer of all time, Qatar was it.
Randomly remember my cousin and i accepting 15k for a nollywood crew to shoot a movie in our living room back in secondary school. Scenes when my dad was watching a movie and saw his house on tv one random afternoon. My cousin and i didn’t go home that day.
@Its_B_here Messi, at 39 years old, has been the perfect tool to weed out casuals..
If you can’t acknowledge what a 39 year old just achieved, you’re either foolish or fundamentally incapable of understanding the beautiful game….
I hate how everybody's talking about those bullshit conspiracy theories, refs this that..... instead of acknowledging how 39 year old Messi outperformed everyone in this world cup. His legacy actually shot up to the moon for those who understand football.
Lol, there's no single trophy in Manchester United’s history that we wouldn't have won if Ronaldo wasn't here.
I was a very exceptional play no doubt but I assure you that we would've won trophies without him as long as Sir Alex was the manager.
As an Arsenal fan, I’ll never understand Manchester United fans who choose Barnabas over Cristiano Ronaldo. Whatever your opinion of Ronaldo today, putting Barnabas ahead of the man who carried your club to so many trophies is the height of ingratitude.
@AfamDeluxo He won 3 of our 13 Premier League titles. Only one of which he can be said to have carried us. He almost cost us the 2008 champions league. Carried us to so many trophies how? Cantona, Keane, Giggs, Scholes, Rooney, Vidic, Ferdinand all Carried us to more trophies.
