4️⃣6️⃣ years ago today, a 21-year-old Pre approached the bell-lap bloodied by spike wounds but still in contention for Munich Olympic 🥇. Lasse Viren was too strong and completed his gold-medal 5k/10k double, while Pre was completely spent and finished 4th.
